Project moved to www.mobilezme.com
Finally i have some time for spending Flash Lite development and testing.
I start building a video streaming client. Because of high bandwidth prices i prefer to use msnbc's video services :)
Client, parses the xml files and streams videos from Msnbc's server. But unfortunately (as usual as they should be) videos encoded for the web streaming(400-500px width, 300-500kbps.). And ofcourse they are not smoothly streaming at my testing devices(Nokia N78 and P iPAQ 500). But i would like to test them at the speediest devices as soon as possible.
After a few test i thought that the best encoding limits(optimum) are 15-24fps/70-100kbps. max 240px. width.
All the way any videos sound is allways playing smoothly.
Other problem is Msnbc's servers are very busy. So sometimes client couldnt parse the xml files(Maybe this is about my connection problems. And it may error warning.
I would like to share the source files after i fix some bugs, maybe integrating better interface(I didn't spent a time for UI, i know it is ugly) .
Right now OTA is supporting 29 countries.
The countries are: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Ireland Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, UK and the USA.
So you can test the client on any S60 or WM 6+ devices. Also you can find the supported device list here.
If you spend sometime for testing the client on other devices, i'll be glad to hear your problems/suggestion or experiences on them/about them.
You can download the S60 or WM 6+ clients below. Also you can brows that page from your mobile device and instal it directly from your phone.[This relase is alpha(bugs for ever) and not Signed!]
